Ungarra Primary School Governing Council

The Ungarra Primary School Governing Council plays an important role in supporting the school community and strengthening partnerships between families, staff and leadership. Made up of passionate parents and guardians, the Governing Council works collaboratively with the school to help create an environment where accountability, support and open dialogue contribute to a setting in which every child can thrive.

Our Governing Council reflects a shared commitment to the wellbeing, education and positive childhood experiences of students at Ungarra Primary School. Members care deeply about the school, its staff and the opportunities provided to children during these formative years, and they contribute thoughtfully to discussions around school priorities, resourcing and community connection.

We are incredibly grateful for the strong leadership of Rory Hunt, whose passion, care and dedication to both students and staff set a positive tone across the school. His leadership fosters an environment where young people are supported to learn, grow and feel safe, and where staff are valued and encouraged in their work.

Our thanks also goes to the dedicated teaching staff of Abbey Bates, Georgia Stratford and Rachel Fuller for their commitment, care and strong work ethic in providing a high‑quality education for students at Ungarra Primary School. Their passion for each child is evident. Students are known, championed and supported in their diverse learning needs, while being encouraged to build strong peer relationships and develop agency in their learning.

The Governing Council also wishes to acknowledge and thank the school’s valued support staff, who form the backbone of quality education and daily school life. We sincerely appreciate the contributions of Lisa Fitzgerald, Sue Liddicoat, Jon Ashworth, Marion Ashworth, Aimee-Lee Elson, Nicole Clark, Stacey Modra and Alicia Bates for their care, professionalism and ongoing support of students and staff alike. We also thank Deb for her continued care in maintaining a clean and welcoming school environment.

Ungarra Primary School is a place where children are supported academically, socially and emotionally, and where their individual strengths and needs are recognised. Students are privileged to be part of a small, connected school community that values relationships, inclusion, community and a love of learning.

The Governing Council warmly welcomes members of the school community to attend Governing Council meetings. These meetings provide an opportunity for families and community members to contribute positively to the school environment, share ideas and be involved in shaping the ongoing growth and success of Ungarra Primary School.
