Play Centre

The Ungarra Playcentre runs every Monday from 10am to 12 noon during school term time, excluding public holidays. Laura Bates is the Playcentre leader and she can be contacted at the school.  Preschool children and their parents, grandparents and guardians are welcome to come along and join in the fun activities on offer each week.

The Playcentre is located at the Ungarra Primary School and has it’s own fenced area with sandpit, cubby house, toilet facilities and inside area which is engaging, inclusive and fun.  Children are encouraged to bring along fruit to share, which is cut up and shared during story time.  There is a small charge of $2 per family/week to help cover the costs of supplies.

The Playcentre also offers an afternoon session for 3.5 year olds to school age children.  This is run by the Playcentre leader and a parent volunteer, parents are not required to stay for this session.  The Ungarra Playcentre is a great place to meet other parents of young children in our community, there is also a strong connection with the school with students often dropping in at recess time to interact with the Playcentre children.
