Play Centre
The Ungarra Playcentre sessions occur every Monday of school terms from 10am to 12pm. There is a small charge of $2 per family for this session, which helps to cover the cost of resources. Offering children from birth to school age opportunities to learn, play and grow through play-based learning experiences. Our playgroup offers a variety of enriching activities tailored to stimulate young minds. From sensory play stations that ignite curiosity to interactive storytelling sessions that spark imagination, every moment is crafted to engage and delight. Creative arts and crafts activities allow children to express themselves freely, while music and movement sessions encourage coordination and rhythmic exploration.
Beyond the enriching activities, our playgroup fosters a sense of community among families. Social interaction is encouraged through playdates, parent networking events, and themed celebrations that bring everyone together. It’s a place where lifelong friendships for both children and adults are formed.
Join our vibrant playgroup and witness the joy of learning and growing together. Whether your child is taking their first steps in socialization or expanding their horizons through creative play, our playgroup is here to nurture their journey every step of the way.
The Playcentre also offers an afternoon session for children aged 3.5 to school aged. This is run by the Playcentre leader, Georgia Stratford and 1-2 parent volunteers, dependent on attendance numbers. During these sessions, children engage in learning activities that focus on fundamentals such as name writing, letter and number recognition as well as social interactions.
Come and experience the warmth and excitement of our local playgroup. Together, we create moments of wonder and discovery that will leave a lasting impression on your child’s early years.
